The Guernsey is a rare breed with beautiful coded colors that varies from yellow to reddish-brown with white patches. Physically they have attractive carriage with a graceful walk, strong back, broad loin, wide rump and deep barrel attached under extending well forward, with the quarters evenly balanced and symmetrical.
The Guernsey bull has attractive individuality and masculinity. The production of milk is relatively good though more depends on how you manage them. They have moderate butter fat contents of 4.3%.
Their feeding requirements are moderate compared with other dairy breeds and reaches productive maturity at a early age. It can calve at 22 months of the age hence provides an early return on investment. It is well known for known to be having a minimum of calving complications and is adaptable to all climates and management systems.
