The breed selected should meet your objectives in terms of litre size, environmental, adaptivity, growth rate, quick maturity and meat yield. The main breeds kept for meat are New Zealand white and California white. They grow fast and can convert feeds at ratio of meat to bone. Other breeds are Flemish giant, chinchilla and crosses. This crosses grow fast and produces high quality meat.
