Our Friesian breed which is characterised with black and white color, short haired coat and short horns, boasts of high milk production potential with low butter fat content of about 3.2%. If well fed and managed this breed will give you between 40-60 litres milk/day. They are also large, with full grown between 500-550kg.

For better production:

• You must feed them well (90-110Kg fresh forage/day)
• You must also control the diseases since this breed is susceptible to diseases, susceptible to milk fever
• You need to keep them in a cool temperature as they are susceptible to high temperatures
• They need large amounts of water (minimum 60lts/day, more for heavy yielders)
