Another sub type existance that has colour around the neck and lower legs and black stripes down the spine is what is called Saanen Goat. The females are long-lived and will continue to breed and rear healthy kids up to 10 years of age. They have good milk genes and great genetic selection for the trait. The back is fairly long and slightly dipped. They are docile animals which are easy to handle and don't do well in cold climate, best in low altitude preferably in acacia bush country. 

Exotic Breed Saanen Goat is the milk queen in the goat world with average production of about 3-5 litres of milk per day depending on management. They are prolific and have high twinning rate.Sometime the kids are born with both male and female organs ( hermaphrodite). This has been observed in polled goats. Mature male weigh between 70kg-100 kg while females weigh 50kg-70 kg and they are all white or creamy coloured with pink pigmentation and generally they originated from Switzerland.
